I built my first website back in 1996. The site was one of those site builders. You know the kind that lets you put your information and images in but you are not able to place them exactly where you want them so the end result isn't really something you wanted?
Then I tried a WYSIWYG editor. This was easy but I didn't exactly see what I created when I published it to the Internet. So I played with this for many years, using the WYSIWYG, along with the bits and pieces of html I had learned early on.
Well after toying around with many different editors I decided it was time to learn html coding once and for all. So I took several classes online to learn how to write my own coding. WOW what a difference this made. I was able to add more information, more graphics, multiple backgrounds, forms, tables, pay pal buttons, you name it, I was doing it. I have been able to learn a lot and can offer my clients hosting for their websites. I also suggest trying a VPS Trial or learning about it on the University of Michigan website.
Now I am not only familiar with the html coding, but can also do many other scripts. I am familiar with Zen Cart, Open Cart, oCommerce, Joomla, Drupal, WordPress, flash as well as other scripts; which allow for databases and the like.
With over 14 years of experience building websites for others, I am NOT afraid to learn new things, nor do I give up on learning new scripts. If you need it on your site, I will get it there.
